We meet together on most Sundays at Brighthelm Community Centre on North Road at 10.30am (except first Sunday of each month).  Our meetings have a relaxed feel starting with drinks and then moving into a time of worship, prayer, and teaching. Most of our meetings last around two hours.  We have a group for the children, and the youth often have activities too.

Time and Location: @The Brighthelm Centre, 10:30am for drinks, 11:00am for meeting.

On the first Sunday of each month, we have what we call a ‘Mission Sunday’ where the church meets in geographically based groups to focus on their local areas: Hollingdean, Hollingbury and central Brighton.  On these Sundays we don’t have our usual morning meeting at Brighthelm but there may well be other activities going on at which you’d be welcome.

Brighthelm Mission Group (central Brighton): Prayer meeting at Brighthelm

The Brighthelm Mission Group aims to bring colour, compassion and creativity, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to the lives of people that come into the Brighthelm gardens and building. On Mission Sundays we meet together at Brighthelm to pray for our community.

Time and location: 13.30 – 15.30 on Mission Sundays (first Sunday of each month), Brighthelm Community Centre, North Road, Brighton.

Messy Church

Hollingbury Messy Church is a fun two hours together, with arts and crafts, games, songs and stories, and a meal together at the end. All ages are welcome.

Time and location: 16:00-18:00pm on Mission Sundays (first Sunday of each month), Old Boat Corner,  Carden Hill, Brighton BN1 8GN

We continue to hold our ‘…Stepping Beyond—Creative Worship’ events on occasional Saturday evenings.  In 2020 guest musicians, Rhythm Makers, DJs and friends will join us again for creative worship using music, percussion, movement and art.

Time and location: @The Brighthelm Centre, select Saturday Evenings

Every Monday evening—except for bank holidays—we hold a Taize.

Taize is a monastery in France existing since the 1940s with brothers from Catholic and Protestant traditions, and some small communities of brothers living amongst the poor in Brazil, Bangladesh, Korea, Senegal, and Kenya. Their style of worship is contemplative always with a time of silence, and the beauty of simple four part harmony chants repeated many times. We follow this pattern on Mondays sharing songs, silence, readings, prayers and communion with each other every week. If you want to try something mediational and reflective then do come along!

(For more information about Taize, see their website ).

Time and Location: 18:30-19:00 on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) at CGC@TheDip, 119d Hollingdean Terrace, Brighton.
