Easter Sunday & Drop-In

April 1 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm

Projects_Drop-In-2

Today we are celebrating Easter!

We meet together on most* Sundays at Brighthelm Community Centre on North Road at 10.30am (except the first Sunday of each month).  Our meetings have a relaxed feel starting with drinks and then moving into a time of worship, prayer, and teaching. Our meetings last around two hours.  We have a group for the children and youth.  We look forward to having you join us!

If you have any questions or would like further details about our Sunday meetings, please email the City Gate office at office@nullcitygatechurch.org.uk

*On the first Sunday of every month, we divide into Mission Groups to bless our city, & instead we hold Messy Church in Lyminster Avenue at ‘Footsteps Nursery’ (4-6pm). On these Sundays City Gate Church does not meet altogether at 10.30am. If you would like to find out more about the first Sunday of the month, please go to our calendar events and Mission Groups page.

DROP-IN

Come and join us at Brighthelm Community Centre on the first Sunday of every month for nutritious food in a warm and welcoming environment. Drop In is a very low cost café, which is overseen by City Gate Church and held at Brighthelm Community Centre on the first Sunday of every month, between 1.30-3.30pm. Drop-In has taken place at Brighthelm since the late 1980’s and was initiated by URC church members who were the original organisers.

Between 1.30-3.30pm volunteers serve subsidised food and drinks to people who would otherwise have few places to go. Hot meals are prepared in advance whilst sandwiches and drinks are made on Sundays as required, ranging from 15p – 50p. There are usually 50-60 customers each week. It’s a great opportunity to come and eat, relax and make new friends. Everyone welcome!
