27th March 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Monday, repeating indefinitely
Taize is a monastery in France existing since the 1940s with brothers from Catholic and Protestant traditions, and some small communities of brothers living amongst the poor in Brazil, Bangladesh, Korea, Senegal, and Kenya. Their style of worship is contemplative always with a time of silence, and the beauty of simple four part harmony chants repeated many times. We follow this pattern on Mondays sharing songs, silence, readings, prayers and communion with each other every week. If you want to try something mediational and reflective then do come along!
Masks are required for Taize at The DIP – following the latest government announcements on COVID-19, and due to the small venue size at The DIP, we ask that everyone attending Taize wear a mask please on Mondays. Seats will be facing forwards in one direction with windows open for ventilation. Many thanks for your understanding.
We also recommend doing a lateral flow test before attending, as we will be singing in corporate worship.
Please stay at home if you are showing signs of high temperature, persistent cough, loss of smell or taste.
We look forward to having you join us and worshipping together.
