SUMMARY:Mission Sunday & DROP-IN
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to say that DROP-IN is BACK this Sunday! \nWe will be meeting in Brighthelm Cafe at 1pm – 2.30pm.   \nDrop-In at Brighthelm \nCome and join us at Brighthelm Community Centre on the first Sunday of every month for nutritious food in a warm and welcoming environment. Drop In is a very low cost café\, which is overseen by City Gate Church and held at Brighthelm Community Centre on the first Sunday of every month\, between 1.00-2.30pm. Drop-In has taken place at Brighthelm since the late 1980’s and was initiated by URC church members who were the original organisers. \nBetween 1.00-2.30pm volunteers serve subsidised food and drinks to people who would otherwise have few places to go. Meals are prepared in advance\, and for £1.00 customers can receive a hot meal\, sandwiches\, dessert and unlimited hot drinks.  It’s a great opportunity to come and eat\, relax and make new friends. Everyone welcome! \nPlease stay at home if you are showing signs of high temperature\, persistent cough\, loss of smell or taste. \n  \nMISSION SUNDAYS – DROP-In\nOn the first Sunday of each month\, we have what we call a ‘Mission Sunday’ where the church meets in geographically based groups to focus on their local areas: Hollingdean\, Hollingbury and central Brighton.  On these Sundays we don’t have our usual morning meeting at Brighthelm but there may well be other activities going on at which you’d be welcome. \nBrighthelm Mission Group (central Brighton):  \nThe Brighthelm Mission Group aims to bring colour\, compassion and creativity\, empowered by the Holy Spirit\, to the lives of people that come into the Brighthelm gardens and building. On Mission Sundays we meet together at Brighthelm to pray for and serve our community. \nTime and location: 13:00 -14:30am on Mission Sundays (first Sunday of each month)\, Brighthelm Community Centre\, North Road\, Brighton. \n
