City Gate Community Projects

CGCP was founded by City Gate Church to outwork its vision and values. As a faith based community we seek to love and serve God, one another and the wider world. CGCP is a practical expression of:

• Giving.
• Working in, with, and for our communities.
• Serving those who are vulnerable, marginalised and in need.

Although you do not have to be a practising Christian to be a part of us, we do ask that all of our staff and volunteers are sympathetic towards these values.

CGCP has a strong ongoing partnership with City Gate Church outworked with the Board, Steering Groups, line management and members.

Fareshare Sussex

Fareshare Sussex is our biggest City Gate Community Project, reclaiming surplus food from the food industry and distributing it to over 100 local charities and community projects across Sussex.  It’s then turned into thousands of nutritious meals every week for people who need it most.
